How big should my event or wedding tent be?

To determine the right size of tent, you need to answer a few questions first. Approximately how many people are going to be at your event at one time? You may have invited 200 guests, but if you are just having a reception where you expect guests to come and go, you may expect 80 to 100 people at a time. You should also ask if you need to fit everyone at the reception/luncheon under the tent at once or if you're only expecting a portion of the guests to be able to fit. Once you know the approximate number of guests you want to shelter at one time, you can refer to each of the tent sizes on this page.

Can I put the tent on my driveway or other concrete area?

Only the framed tents can be placed on concrete or other surface that is not dirt or grass. They are the only tents that can use water barrels to secure it. All other tents must be staked down.

Do I need to call Blue Stakes before the event tent is installed?

Our tents are secured by four-foot long stakes. Depending on the tent size, we will use 14 to 30 stakes to secure the tent. These stakes can penetrate pipes in the ground. We recommend calling Blue Stakes of Utah 811 for any location we are setting up the tent. If we are setting up on private property and the homeowner knows exactly where any electrical, gas, water, sewer, and/or sprinkler lines are located, then calling Blue Stakes may not be needed. We do not hold responsibility for any damaged lines during install.  For non-private locations the event planner/owner of the area will need to be consulted.
