Event Rentals Taylorsville

Event Rentals for Weddings and Celebrations in Taylorsville, UT

Most people planning an event in Taylorsville aren’t working with a fancy venue. They’ve got a cultural hall, a backyard, or a community space, and they’re trying to figure out how to make it feel like something.

That’s exactly what we do. Mountain Event Rentals brings tents, lighting, linens, tables, chairs, dance floors, arches, and a variety of other items to events all over Taylorsville and the Salt Lake Valley. We set everything up, we take it all down, and we think carefully about how it comes together so you don’t have to. Our rental packages often include tablecloths and a variety of items to suit any kind of event, with amenities and services included and provided as part of your rental.

Taylorsville Events Are Personal Celebrations

This isn’t a city full of hotel ballrooms and dedicated wedding venues. People here tend to celebrate close to home, at their ward building, in their backyard, or at a family member’s property. That makes the events feel more personal, but it also puts more pressure on whoever is handling the setup.

We’ve worked a lot of events in Taylorsville. Wedding receptions in cultural halls that needed to feel like something other than a gym. Backyard quinceañeras with 200 guests, a full dance floor, and the Wasatch Mountains sitting right there in the background. Retirement parties. Graduation celebrations and graduations in June, where the whole extended family shows up. The new Taylorsville Temple has only made wedding season here busier.

These events are a time to gather friends and family, making our venues perfect for informal meetups, special occasions, and moments of connection.

We know what these spaces need. We know what works and what doesn’t. That familiarity is worth something when your e

    Cultural Halls

Cultural halls are a known quantity in Taylorsville — large, easy to access, meaningful to the community. The problem is the starting point: fluorescent lights, hard floors, high ceilings with no warmth. Left alone, they feel institutional. With the right work, they don’t.

Draping the ceiling changes the whole scale of the room. Warm lighting replaces the overheads. Tables are arranged around how the evening is actually going to flow, not just how many people need to fit. By the time guests arrive, it doesn’t read as a ward building anymore — it reads as a room where something worth celebrating is happening.

We’ve worked in enough Taylorsville cultural halls to know their individual quirks. Column placement, ceiling heights, load-in access, and what can and can’t be anchored. None of that gets figured out on your event day.

  • Backyards and Outdoor Properties

A backyard with mountain views and enough room to set up a tent is a genuinely good venue. Getting it there takes more than most people expect.

Utah summers are hot in the afternoon and beautiful after the sun drops behind the Oquirrhs. The trick is bridging those two halves of the evening, keeping guests comfortable when it’s warm and keeping the space feeling alive once it gets dark. A tent handles the first part. Good lighting handles the second. When both are done right, the transition from afternoon to evening becomes the best part of the night rather than a problem you’re managing.

Some venues feature a cozy fireplace or distinctive wall elements, adding ambiance and architectural character to your event setting.

We’ve done outdoor setups across Taylorsville’s neighborhoods, everything from intimate gatherings on smaller lots to full-scale receptions that take over an entire yard. We look at each space before the event, not just from a photo, so we know what we’re working with when the truck shows up.

  • Other Venues

We also work in community centers, reception halls, HOA clubhouses, and other multipurpose spaces throughout Taylorsville and the surrounding area, including Murray, Kearns, West Jordan, Millcreek, and South Salt Lake. If the venue is within our service area and has a space we can set up in, we can make it work.

There are many kinds of venues available, from rustic barns and modern spaces to outdoor sites. Notable venues include Plum & Pine (a modern site for weddings, corporate events, and private parties), Arbor Manor Event Venue & Garden (popular for outdoor events and family reunions), Grove Lake Farms (located on a private 110 acres with a modern barn), and more. Whether you’re looking for the perfect venue for a wedding, graduation, or corporate event, sites like Brushy Mountain Golf Club, Twin Mills Club, Hickory Premier, Statesville Country Club, Heritage House, The Brawley Estate, Northgate Venue, The SALT Block Foundation, and The Hickory Metro Convention Center offer a range of capacities and features to suit your needs.

  • Corporate Events

Company events ask for something different from a space. They aren’t worried about creating and capturing emotion; they want to make a good impression. The room should tell your employees and your clients that you’re a company that pays attention to things.

We work with Taylorsville-area businesses on holiday parties, client dinners, team recognitions, and end-of-year celebrations. We handle the tables, linens, and lighting. If you need a stage or backdrop for presentations, we can provide those as well. What we don’t do is leave your event coordinator wrestling with furniture at 7 am the day of the event; that’s our problem, not yours.

Venue Selection

Choosing the right event venue is one of the most important decisions you’ll make when planning a special event in Taylorsville. The event space you select sets the stage for your celebration, whether it’s a wedding, corporate event, birthday party, or graduation. Start by considering the number of guests you’ll be inviting: This will help you determine the required capacity and ensure everyone has comfortable seating and enough room to enjoy the festivities.

Think about the atmosphere and style you want to create. Are you looking for a charming wedding venue with a private, intimate feel, or a modern event venue equipped with the latest technology for a corporate event or luncheon? Many venues offer a photo gallery on their website, giving you a glimpse of the space, lighting, and design options available. This can help you envision your perfect event and narrow down your choices.

Amenities are another key factor. Look for venues that include essentials like tables, chairs, tents, and restrooms in their rental packages. Some event spaces also feature a full kitchen or prep kitchen, making it easier to coordinate catering and keep things running smoothly. Don’t forget to check if the venue offers additional equipment, such as lighting or audio-visual gear, to enhance your celebration.

Availability is crucial, especially for popular weekends or during peak wedding season. Once you find a venue that fits your needs, schedule a tour to see the space in person and discuss your event plans with their professional team. They can help with setup, design, and planning, ensuring every detail is ready for your big day.

Flexibility is also important. Aome venues offer weekday or weekend rentals, and may provide different options for setup and teardown to fit your schedule. Whether you’re planning a family gathering, a party with friends, or a corporate meeting, the right event venue will offer the support and amenities you need to create a memorable experience.

    Lights & Drapes

Lighting is the easiest thing to get wrong and the hardest to fix once the evening is underway. Overhead fluorescents flatten a room. The wrong color temperature makes people look tired. Most rental companies treat lighting as an afterthought.

We treat it as the thing everything else depends on. The draping comes first — fabric overhead changes the perceived shape and scale of a space before a single light is hung. Then the lighting: warm, directional, positioned to flatter the room and the people in it. We adjust the approach for every venue and every event type, because a summer backyard reception and a formal corporate dinner aren’t lit the same way.

  • Linens

A bare folding table is a signal. It says: we ran out of time, or we didn’t care enough, or both. The right linen says the opposite. It doesn’t need to be elaborate, it just needs to be right for the event.

We carry a range of colors, textures, and lengths. For formal events, we lean toward floor-length options in classic tones. For casual celebrations, we have options that feel considered without being overdressed. If you’re not sure what works with your venue or color palette, that’s what the consultation is for.

    Tables & Chairs

We carry round tables in 60” and 72” diameters, rectangular banquet tables, and cocktail-height options. For chairs, we have padded folding chairs and Chiavari chairs for formal events.

All of it is delivered, set up, and broken down by our team. You shouldn’t spend the day before your event in a parking lot. You shouldn’t spend the morning after one either.

    Dance Floors

People need permission to dance. A marked-off floor gives it to them. Without one, even guests who want to dance tend to wait to see who goes first. With a proper floor — well-placed, well-lit, big enough to not feel crowded — dancing becomes the natural thing to do, and the energy of the night is different for it.

We install wood-finish portable floors indoors and outdoors. For outdoor setups on grass, we assess the ground conditions before the event. A floor that shifts or squeaks halfway through the night isn’t something anyone should deal with.

    Arches

An arch is a frame for the moments people are going to look back at — the ceremony, the first dance, the grand entrance, the photos. It doesn’t have to be elaborate to do its job. It just has to be in the right place and set up with some intention.

We have options that range from clean and minimal to more formal, and we work with you on placement so it’s actually doing something useful rather than just taking up space.

  • Tents

Anyone who’s hosted an outdoor event in the Salt Lake Valley has a story about the weather. A tent isn’t pessimism; it’s just how you keep a beautiful outdoor event from becoming a stressful one. We carry frame tents in multiple sizes, from smaller canopy setups to full receptions with 150-plus guests. Frame tents have no center poles, which means your floor plan isn’t compromised by structural supports in the middle of everything.

Our rental items include lighting, flatware, and other essentials, as offered by All Out Event Rental, which provides a vast selection of equipment to make your event unique. Vault Event Rentals specializes in luxury and curated rental pieces and is a sister company to Diamond Event & Tent. Bee Ready Rentals offers flexible rental windows for setup and teardown, and many event rental services provide delivery and setup to ensure a smooth event experience. Some venues offer packages that often include tables, chairs, and covers, and are noted for competitive pricing.

What Events We Work

Weddings and receptions are the biggest part of what we do here, especially from May through August when the temple schedule and the weather line up. But we work a full range of events.

Quinceañeras are a meaningful part of our calendar. These are often large — 150 to 300 guests — with full dance floors, elaborate detail work, and a level of care that matches any wedding we’ve done. Graduation parties in June, where the extended family turns out in force. Milestone birthdays that grow larger in scope than the person planning them expected. Retirement dinners. Anniversary parties. And corporate events year-round.

The event type changes the approach, but not the standard we hold ourselves to. For multi-day events, the convenience of being able to stay at or near the venue is a plus, and some venues offer breakfast as an amenity for weekend or extended stays.

How Booking Works

Browse our inventory, put together a rough idea of what you need, and reach out. You don’t need a complete picture before calling — most people don’t have one yet, and part of what the consultation is for is figuring out what actually makes sense for your space and your guest count.

Once you confirm a date and rental list, a non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your date. Popular dates in spring and summer go fast — if you have a date in mind, don’t wait.

Delivery and setup are handled by our team and coordinated around your venue’s schedule. Delivery services are provided throughout the Wasatch Front, with options for "will call" pickup at our warehouses. We don’t offer self-pickup. Teardown is handled after the event. You won’t be the one returning chairs on a Sunday morning.

We offer flexible rental windows to help with setup and teardown, so you don’t feel rushed—setup can often be completed in minutes or within flexible timeframes to suit your needs.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes — throughout the Salt Lake Valley. Murray, Kearns, West Jordan, Millcreek, South Salt Lake, and surrounding areas are all within our regular service area. Our company is located in Taylorsville and serves the surrounding area. If you’re unsure whether your location is covered, just ask.

  • For spring and summer events, earlier is better. May, June, and July weekends fill up months in advance. If you have a date, reach out now. Fall and winter have more flexibility, but we still recommend not waiting once you’ve got things confirmed on your end.

  • Not usually, as long as we know about them ahead of time. Some venues restrict what can be hung from ceilings or anchored to floors. We coordinate with venues before the event so we’re designing around those constraints from the start, not discovering them the morning of.

  • Yes. Floor plan matters more than most people realize — how tables are arranged affects how the evening flows, where the dance floor sits determines whether people actually use it, and where the arch or focal point lands shapes every photo taken that night. We work through this during consultation, not as an afterthought.
